The house
La Zenia sits midway along the Orihuela coast, with the sea on one side and the Villamartín golf courses on the other. The villa stands on Calle Diamante, a quiet residential street; Zenia Boulevard, with its restaurants, supermarkets and shops, is about a kilometre away, a fifteen minute walk.
What sets the house apart is the outdoor space: there is a terrace on every level. At the entrance, a covered terrace under a pergola with green and white awnings, a white table for six and a flowering hedge along the railing. One floor up, the double bedroom opens onto a balcony with two rattan chairs and a small glass table. At the top, a large roof terrace in two parts with a glass dining table for four and a glimpse of the sea beyond the tiled rooftops. The glazed room off the roof terrace is the third bedroom, light and quiet, with air conditioning of its own.
The entrance floor is open plan. Kitchen, dining and living run in sequence over checkerboard marble tiles, under an archway. Solid wood cabinets and granite worktops in the kitchen, with a Siemens dishwasher, oven, four zone hob and microwave, and a Beko fridge freezer. The dining table is long and solid and seats six without trouble. At the living end, a green corner sofa with a chaise faces a wall mounted TV.
The double bedroom has fitted wardrobes with mirrored doors and its own air conditioning. The second bedroom has two single beds, a ceiling fan, a tall wooden wardrobe and air conditioning of its own.
Two bathrooms: a guest WC on the entrance floor, and a full bathroom on the bedroom floor with a walk in shower, bidet and heated towel rail.
Getting around: the beaches at La Zenia are a little over two kilometres away, five minutes by car or half an hour on foot. Club de Golf Villamartín is about the same distance in the other direction. Alicante-Elche airport is about fifty five minutes by car, Murcia Corvera roughly forty five.

Op elke verdieping een terras, en vooral het dakterras was onze favoriet, met net een streepje zee over de daken. Naar Zenia Boulevard is het een kwartiertje lopen, dus de auto bleef vaak voor de deur staan. Het zwembad van de urbanisatie was heerlijk, met een apart pierenbadje voor de kleintjes. De host reageerde snel op alles.
Bram · Netherlands · October 2025Ruhig gelegenes Haus in La Zenia, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir waren zu viert und hatten reichlich Platz. Auf jeder Etage eine Terrasse, und die Dachterrasse, von der man über die Dächer ein Stück Meer sieht, war unser Lieblingsplatz. Zum Zenia Boulevard läuft man eine Viertelstunde, zum Strand fährt man fünf Minuten. Parken direkt vor der Tür. Der Gastgeber hat sich immer schnell gemeldet. Gerne wieder.

Both bedrooms have their own air con, which we needed in August, and the travel cot was already set up when we arrived. Mornings were spent at the children's pool in the urbanisation. Zenia Boulevard is a fifteen minute walk, so the car stayed outside the door most days and we wandered down for dinner. Every floor has a terrace. We ended up having breakfast on the roof one, with the sea just visible over the rooftops.

Lo mejor, una terraza en cada planta, y desde la de arriba se ve el mar a lo lejos. Hasta Zenia Boulevard se va andando en un cuarto de hora. La piscina de la urbanización, con su zona para niños, nos vino de maravilla en julio. El anfitrión respondió a todo enseguida. Repetiremos.
Lucía R. · Spain · July 2025Belle maison dans une rue calme, à un quart d'heure à pied de Zenia Boulevard. Nous étions quatre et on avait largement la place. Ce qu'on a préféré, c'est la terrasse à chaque étage, surtout celle sur le toit, avec la mer au loin. La plage est à cinq minutes en voiture. La piscine de la résidence était parfaite, avec un petit bassin pour les enfants. L'hôte a répondu très vite à nos questions.
